Ep 13. What I learnt from my mother's death
Mothers day is coming up, and it’s always an interesting time for me. On the one hand, I have two beautiful children and am so thrilled to be a mother myself, but I also lost my mother 10 years ago, and it is always a day of reflection for me.
To celebrate mothers day this year, I wanted to share with you the profound impact my mother’s life and death have had on me, and how she inspired me to lead the life I now lead. My mum died after a battle with cancer and I remember the day she died like it was yesterday. For anyone who has been close to someone with cancer, you understand how brutal it can be to deal with it on a daily basis, but my mum battled it with a strength that still inspires me. When she died, I feel like I lost a part of myself as well. I feel like that happens whenever someone we love dies. We live the rest of our lives with that hole, and it really hurts, but it’s also a reminder of the irreplaceable love we have. After my mother’s death, I began to think more about my future. I truly loved teaching but I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more out there meant for me, and this was the catalyst for me to pursue it. In this episode, I’ll dive into how I found my path, my passion, and my power over my own life. I’ll explore lessons I learnt and insights I gained which can help your life and your business.
